Detective Trista Manchuso was recently hired as the School Resource Officer for Maynard. On October 12th, she spent the morning at Green Meadow assisting us with arrival routines and facilitating a school-wide safety drill, then she stopped in Ms. Wallace's class to read kindergarteners a story. When GMS students see "Officer Trista" in the halls, they love to gather around and ask questions. On multiple occasions, I have overheard children exclaim, "I didn't know girls could be policemen!" and "I want to be a policewoman when I grow up!" She is a wonderful role model for students in all three Maynard schools.
